D Day! Singapore!

Thank God I have wifi here in my apartment!

I can still call the people I need to be in contact with, I can browse for random stuff, write a post..:P

My flight from LION AIR (No, I’m not afraid to mention the company) was delayed for half an hour due to the lateness of the previous flight. WTF? I can only imagine how late the last flight of the day was. :S More than one hour at least. I feel bad for my friend who picked me up, she waited almost an hour. 😦

I couldn’t sleep that well on the plane (which was very weird, normally I sleep like a baby in moving vehicles XD) so I decided to look at the cards on the seat pocket. They provide prayer cards nowadays!! LOL. For Muslims, Christians, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhas, and Confucians. Darn I should have taken a picture!! Looked through the safety instructions about the gas masks and started to wonder. The announcements always say, “Passengers traveling with a child should wear the gas mask first, then attend to the child”. I thought for a while that they should add a sentence, “Passengers traveling with more than one child, decide which one you love the most”. HAHAHAHA!! That, my friend, would be so hilarious!!

Moments before landing, I was a little bit emo for a while. Thankfully the thought of meeting my friend quickly prevented me from tearing up. XD Managed to take a few pics from the plane too to reduce my emoness.

love the pretty clouds

The day wentΒ nicely with my friend. πŸ˜€ I haven’t seen her for the last 4 months so we did a lot of catching up. πŸ™‚ She took me to a very nice restaurant in Bras Basah which is called “Food for Thought”, if I’m not mistaken. Had seafood risoto, and the super duper incredible Butterscotch Apple Crumble with Berries (and ice cream too apparently)!! It was heavenly….

i have to learn how to make this!!

I also received a very awesome birthday gift from her!! (and a very touching letter too :’) ) I don’t know how on earth she could buy me this recipe book that I had always wanted to buy! I remembered I even took pictures of the book a couple of months ago in Borders!! She is one amazing friend. πŸ™‚ Love you Jolly!!! Thank you so much for everything!!(not just for the book πŸ˜‰ )

i miss baking!!

Today was definitely a good start.

Tomorrow will be better!! ^^

D-1 to Singapore

Hello folks!!

It has been almost 2 months since my last post. Pardon me, but I must say I was “occupied” πŸ˜› and with the lack of internet access in my room in Salamanca, plus the 3 weeks travel without any laptop, blogging was indeed difficult to do.

I have been enjoying my last weeks here in Jakarta, just chilling out in my cozy home, going out occasionally with some old friends, visiting relatives here and there on the weekends. πŸ˜€ However, the first two weeks that I was in Jakarta, my mood was not that great due to the overwhelming death/hospital news around my friends and family, and I didn’t want to do anything back then. :S

Fortunately, I did eventually get better from all the bad mood condition. XD How can I stay on having bad mood all the time when I’m surrounded with many wonderful things here!! (and oh yes, food is one of them) Β I do feel guilty for eating all the greasy (but oh-so-yummy) food in Jakarta, ah but who cares..It’s not like everyday I can have this luxury. Plus, as long as my weight doesn’t get over 58 kg, there won’t be any problem. πŸ˜› I am gonna work out more in Singapore though, tennis woohoo! I have restrung my racket so bring it on!!!

Tomorrow I’m heading back to sunny Singapore, and to be honest, I’m not quite ready to leave home just yet. Imagining all the hard work that’s waiting for me on the other side is scary, but, life must go on. Every semester always starts off like this, with a little bit of homesickness before leaving Jakarta. I come to realize that the homesickness gets worse and worse each semester. When I first came to NTU, I didn’t feel sad or depressed at all, I guess it was because I hadn’t realized it back then, how good it is to be in your own home. πŸ™‚ I hope I can handle it better this semester, and with no lessons on fridays, it is actually possible to go home on some of my weekends. YAY!

gonna miss spending time with my dad's side of the family

did i mention we are silly and loud? XD

nasi timbel at Warung Kita in PX mall yuuumm!

traffic in Jakarta, will i miss it? i hope not. XD

grandma's birthday

Good holiday. Indeed it was. πŸ™‚ At least I can safely go back to Singapore with all the awesome memories from all over Indonesia, Europe, and of course, Spain.

πŸ™‚

See you on the other side! Please wish me luck for this coming semester! I know I’m gonna need it. LOL
